Nadukani Idukki

Nadukani is an appealing hill station and one of the top tourist destinations in the god’s own country. Located in the Idduki district of Kerala it is situated at an altitude of 3000 ft. high. It is addressed about 25 km away from Munnar town. The place is known as the top picnic spot and ideal place for sightseeing. As Nadukani comes under Idduki district there is no clear evidence about the early history of the place. During the 18th century half of the area of Idduki district came under the rule of Poonjar Raja and it was him who sold half of the region to European planters in the year 1877. The planter’s migrant to the high regions and deforestation was occurred for the growth of hydroelectric projects, roadways and factories etc. At the end of 19th century the verdant greenery of the area was completely destroyed.
